Notwithstanding anything contained in this website related to our products, marketing materials regarding our products, descriptions of our products, or in product packaging, the terms and explanations below are provided for general product usage and application clarification of and in addition to any such descriptions or information. Terms are listed in alphabetical order for your convenience.
Abrasion Resistance or Abrasion Resistant products provide some resistance but do not completely prevent or protect against injuries that may be abrasion related.
Bloodborne Pathogen Barrier Protection products do not completely protect against exposure to, absorption of, or penetration of bloodborne pathogens, subject to the methods, guidelines, and limitations set forth by ASTM F1671.
Chemical Resistance or Chemical Resistant or Chemical Protection products provide some resistance and/or protection but do not completely prevent or protect against injuries due to use or handling of chemicals due to different levels of chemical penetration depending upon specific worksite and environmental conditions and variables existing where products are used, subject to the methods, guidelines, and limitations set forth by ASTM D6978.
Chemotherapy Drug Resistance or Chemotherapy Drug Resistant or Chemotherapy Drug Protection products provide some resistance and/or protection but do not completely prevent or protect against exposure to chemotherapy drugs and other chemicals, subject to the methods, guidelines, and limitations set forth by ASTM D6978.
Fluid Resistance or Fluid Resistant or Fluid Protection products provide varying resistance to fluids but do not completely prevent or protect against absorption or permeation of fluids, and if the product surface is compromised due to a puncture, rip, or tear, for example.
Oil Resistance or Oil Resistant or Oil Protection products provide some resistance to oil-based substances or grease but do not completely prevent or protect against absorption or permeation of oil or fluids.
Puncture Resistance or Puncture Resistant products provide some resistance but do not completely prevent or protect against puncture related injuries, and should be carefully tested for use with, including, but not limited to, sharp objects, blades, knives, mechanical equipment with blades or other moving parts to which a user may be exposed.
Rubber Latex products which contain natural rubber latex may cause natural rubber latex allergy in some users.
Products Not Made with Natural Rubber Latex do not incorporate latex in the manufacturing or packaging of the product, however they cannot guarantee non-exposure of user(s) to natural rubber latex.
Skid or Non-skid products provide enhanced traction on interior flooring surfaces but may not maintain traction, including, but not limited to, in heavily soiled areas, where puddling has occurred, in the presence of large spills, or on chemicals or other substances, viscous or otherwise.
Temperature Extreme Resistance of nitrile products provides some resistance to extreme temperatures when compared to latex or vinyl but provides minimal protection and insulation from heat beyond heat levels skin may tolerate.
Waterproof products provide waterproof coverage impervious to water and fluids but may not remain waterproof over time, as skin adhesives eventually degrade or break down if submerged under or if exposed to water for an extended period of time.
